Joomla CMS is one of the most popular website content management systems. On hosting with the Softaculous auto-installer, installing Joomla is incredibly simple, requiring only five steps:
1. In your cPanel hosting control panel (https://yourdomain:2083), log in to the Softaculous section .
2. On the page that opens, select Joomla (or another CMS that you want to install).
Clicking the Joomla link will reveal additional information in the column on the right. Note the text next to " New Installation "—it indicates the Joomla version that will be installed, the amount of disk space required, and the available space on your account. If you have enough disk space for the installation, click " New Installation ."
3. On the next page you need to enter the site registration information.
Install on domain - select the domain on which you want to install Joomla. Only domains you manage in cPanel are available—the main domain in your account and any add-on domains.
Install in directory - leave blank if you want Joomla to open at your domain address. If you want your Joomla website address to look like, for example, your.domain/joomla , enter joomla in this field .
Admin access data - administrator login and password - you will use this login and password to access the Joomla administrative section.
In the Base configuration you should write down your e-mail address, your name and the name of the future website.
Install Sample Data? - If checked, test context (test pages on the site) will be installed, which should be deleted later. If you want to practice on Joomla, these pages can be helpful. If you don't need the test pages, uncheck the box.
After filling in the data, click on the Install Joomla button .
4. The next page will display general information about the Joomla database being created. Click the Finish installation button on this page .
5. The next page will display information that the configuration.php and data.sql files have been configured.
